Building Stage Inspections
Description
Building Stage Inspections involve checking your construction or renovation project at various critical stages to assess progress, identify potential defects, and ensure strict compliance with Australian building codes and standards. Conducting regular inspections ensures that the workmanship is up to standard and that your home is progressing exactly as planned. We offer tailored packages to check key stages, including the Foundation Stage, where we verify the foundation is laid correctly per structural engineering drawings, checking slab rebates, boxing heights, boundary setbacks, and plumbing pipes. During the Frame Stage, we ensure the structure is sound, framing is square and plumb, and check room sizes, window heights, and brickwork articulation joints. The Lock-Up Stage inspection checks that the building is securely closed off, verifying cladding compliance, fire rating requirements, and internal rough-ins. We also inspect the Fixing Stage for internal plaster, woodwork, and cabinetry, followed by a Final Completion inspection to ensure the building is ready for occupancy. Using advanced tools like rotary lasers and measuring equipment, our HIA-certified inspectors provide early detection of defects. Identifying problems early prevents possible delays and unwanted costly repairs later in the process—especially if a builder goes bankrupt or disappears—giving you complete peace of mind and better project control.
