Practical Completion Inspection
Description
A Practical Completion Inspection, often referred to as a Handover Inspection, is a critical step that occurs just before the actual handover of your newly built home. Practical Completion marks the milestone when the home reaches its intended use for habitation, which is typically linked to your final payment and the handover of the keys. This inspection represents your last chance to ensure everything is up to standard before the builder officially hands over the project. Our comprehensive assessment covers all areas of the home, including the interior, exterior, roof void, and complete roof cover areas. We meticulously check all electrical and plumbing fixtures, as well as cabinetry, wall and floor tiling, doors, finish carpentry, painting, and all other finishes and workmanship. We even go as far as to inspect the quality of the final clean. Our inspectors are all qualified builders with years of extensive experience within the residential construction industry. They speak to the builder in their own language and can serve as your knowledgeable advocate when dealing with any builder disagreements or rectification works. Following the inspection, you will receive a detailed report written in plain English, complete with photographs and required actions for any identified defects. We also provide a same-day phone call from your inspector to fully debrief you on any areas of concern. This service can be purchased as a standalone inspection or as part of our comprehensive Construction Inspection Package.
