I received a building and pest inspection report from iSPECT yesterday and, unfortunately, found the service to be quite underwhelming given the cost. The report was very basic and contained only minimal descriptions, with no use of advanced technologies or detailed diagnostic methods. Much of the information provided could have been identified by a buyer simply walking through the property and visually inspecting each area. For the fee charged ($572), I expected a far more comprehensive and technical assessment. To put this in context, I used a different inspection service last year for a anither situation that provided a highly thorough report of over 100 pages, including detailed explanations, measurements, and findings supported by advanced inspection tools—and it was significantly cheaper. I chose iSPECT this time only because my previous inspector was unavailable until February due to the holiday period. While I will say that the administrative team was responsive and efficient, the inspector himself was not very communicative, which further reduced confidence in the service. Overall, I would not recommend iSpect if you are seeking a detailed, in-depth inspection. If you only want a quick, surface-level overview, this service may be sufficient—but it does not justify the hefty price charged.
