Timber Pest Inspection

Description

An annual timber pest inspection is highly recommended to protect your property, as termites are a significant problem in Queensland. In fact, termites are responsible for causing more damage to homes than floods, storms, and fires combined—and a lesser-known fact is that this damage is typically not covered by standard home insurance policies. Because termites are naturally quiet and elusive creatures, they can silently eat away at your home if they remain undetected. The Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) recommends having your home inspected at least every 12 months to ensure early detection before significant structural damage occurs. Our comprehensive timber pest inspection involves a meticulous visual assessment of all accessible areas of the property to identify any evidence of active termites or previous termite damage. The inspector will also note whether the property currently has a termite management system installed. We thoroughly check the house for conducive conditions that attract termites, such as abnormal moisture levels. The inspection covers the yard and property within 30 meters of the building, the exterior, internal rooms, the ceiling roof void, and the house foundations or sub-floor. Conducted by fully licensed pest technicians with over 30 years of industry experience, our inspections utilize the latest non-invasive technologies. We use industry-leading Tramex moisture meters to detect hidden moisture behind walls and floors, as well as Flir Thermal Imaging cameras to identify heat or cold anomalies within building elements that cannot be seen with the naked eye. Following the inspection, you will receive a detailed, easy-to-read report within 24 hours, providing you with the critical information needed to safeguard your home.
