Critical Stage Building Inspections

As the appointed Principal Certifier (PC), Mick Brooks Building Certifiers conducts comprehensive building inspections throughout the construction process. The PC is appointed directly by the project owners, and our role is to ensure your project is in full compliance with the relevant Acts, Regulations, the Building Code of Australia (BCA), and Australian Standards. Once a Construction Certificate (CC) or Complying Development Certificate (CDC) has been issued for your project, it is a strict legislative requirement that all critical stage inspections take place. These critical stage inspections ensure that the building project is constructed to comply with all relevant legislative requirements before work progresses to the next phase. Whether your project involves new dwellings, dwelling additions and alterations, rural dwellings, sheds, carports, garages, decks, verandas, pergolas, detached studios, swimming pools, or granny flats (secondary dwellings), we provide diligent oversight. This inspection process is a mandatory step toward receiving your final Occupation Certificate (OC). An OC is required prior to the project being inhabited, and our role as the PC requires us to verify that the project is suitable for its use in accordance with the Building Code of Australia and that all legislation requirements have been met.
