Jason’s extensive background, which includes teaching construction at TasTAFE, ensures a highly knowledgeable and thorough assessment. Strictly complying with Australian Standard AS 4349.1-2007 and the National Code of Ethics, the site visit typically takes around two hours. The inspection covers all accessible areas of the property. Inside, we assess floors, walls, ceilings, windows, doors, kitchens, bathrooms, laundries, and check for damp problems. Outside, we examine exterior walls, timber or steel frames, chimneys, balconies, decks, and suspended concrete floors. We also inspect the roof exterior and interior space (including framing, sarking, and insulation), as well as the sub-floor for supports, ventilation, and drainage. Additionally, the inspection includes property features within 30 meters of the main house, such as garages, carports, sheds, retaining walls, driveways, and pool fencing. Following the physical inspection, clients receive a comprehensive written report and summary emailed within 24 hours.
