Data privacy & deletion
Your data belongs to you. InspectorFind stores inspector profiles, insurance schedules, qualifications, and supporting documents only to power your public listing and the verification process — nothing more. If you no longer want that information on the platform, you can have it erased at any time, without condition.
What we hold for inspectors
Once you create an account and start filling out your listing, we typically hold:
- Business details — trading name, contact email, phone, addresses, service areas, and open hours.
- Services — the inspection types you publish, descriptions, and any pricing you choose to share.
- Insurance documents — schedules and certificates you upload (for example professional indemnity and public liability).
- Qualifications & licences — scans, PDFs, and any registry links you supply.
- Reviews & badge usage — reviews left on your profile and metadata about the embed/badge on your own site.
- Account & audit data — login email, dashboard activity logs, and routine system records needed to run the service.
We do not sell this data, and we do not share it with marketing partners.
Your right to deletion
You can ask us to delete your data at any time. There is no waiting period, no penalty, and no justification required — verified or unverified, paid or free, active or dormant.
When you request deletion we will:
- Remove your public listing from InspectorFind.com.au so it no longer appears in search, city, or service pages.
- Erase uploaded documents — insurance schedules, qualification certificates, licence scans, and any supporting attachments.
- Delete profile content — business details, service descriptions, coverage areas, and contact information.
- Remove reviews tied to your listing where they cannot stand on their own without your profile.
- Close your account and revoke dashboard access.
Some routine system records (for example invoices we are required to keep for tax purposes, or abuse/security logs) may persist for the minimum period required by Australian law. Everything else is genuinely removed.
How to request deletion
Pick whichever is easiest:
- Sign in and use Contact us from the menu — quote your business name.
- Email business@inspectorfind.com.au from the address on your account.
We confirm deletion by email once it is complete. If your account is verified, your verified badge and any embeds pointing to your profile will stop resolving from that point on.
For buyers and visitors
If you have only ever browsed the site — never signed up as an inspector — we hold very little about you: standard request logs, cookies, and anything you submitted through a contact form. You can still request deletion of that information at any time via business@inspectorfind.com.au.

Listing with InspectorFind should always feel reversible. If anything about the process — sign-up, verification, or deletion — feels unclear, contact us and we will walk you through it.
